Trio Programs at NDSU
The primary purpose of the TRIO Programs is to prepare students for successful entry, retention, and completion of post secondary education. In general, these programs identify low-income and first-generation college students who show potential for success and provide them with encouragement, support, and assistance. TRIO services are designed to improve academic performance, increase student motivation, and facilitate transitions from one level of education to the next. North Dakota State University has hosted TRIO Programs since 1968 and currently hosts Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS), Student Support Services, Veterans Upward Bound, McNair Scholars Program, and Upward Bound.

Mission Statement
We promote the educational opportunity of eligible students whose aspirations, participation, and achievement of post-secondary academic goals may be at risk. Services are funded through grants from the US Department of Education.
