Dr. George Youngs has been a member of the North Dakota State University faculty since 1978. His primary teaching responsibilities are social interaction, social psychology, research methods, and quantitative research.

Dr. Youngs' research interests include a wide variety of applied topics over the years such as conflict spirals, the impact of a strengthened DUI law, reaction to legalized gambling, doctor/patient communication, the attitudes of sustainable versus conventional farmers, and work with my wife who has done research on mainstream teachers and ESL students.

His current research projects have included a recently published article on reactance and doctor/patient communication (co-authored with a former graduate student, JeAnne Fogarty) two recent articles on the attitudes of mainstream teachers toward ESL students (co-authored with my wife, Dr. Cheryl Stanosheck Youngs), and work with Drs.
