Who has Access to information
SLSC authorizes access to personal borrower information only to those who have a legitimate need to know in order to provide and maintain our services or are entitled to access the information as required by law. Employees who have access to this information are required to follow our procedures designed to keep the information secure and confidential.

Information We Collect
The information we collect from borrowers will vary depending on the type of application. The types of applications that we may use are deferments, cancellations, forbearances, income & expense and employment verification or certification forms. The information we collect may include the following:

• Personal identifying information such as, name, address, telephone number, date of birth,
• Social security number, e-mail address and reference information.
• Financial information such as loan and/or debt information.

This is collected to process a variety of payment deferments, loan cancellations, and forbearances.

Information given to or collected from Third Parties
If we need to verify information or require additional information, we may collect or share information with third parties, as required or permitted by law. We may share information with the following:

• National Credit Bureaus
• U.S. Department of Education
• Department of Health & Human Services
• National Student Clearinghouse (NSC)
• National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS)
• Collection Agencies with which we have contracts

We do not sell personal information to third parties.
