the rural community... Discovering the Uniqueness of Rural Communities (DURC): This study includes two volumes which cover the core of rural sociology and its application to the community. Volume I: A New Perspective Addresses what is rural, the basics of rural social science, what rural "looks like", and rural culture and values. Volume II: Making a Difference Focuses on the economic base in rural communities, the dynamics of leadership and power, and affecting change in rural communities.
