Introduction

We explored several of the ways rural clergy, lay people, and churches can minister, and we examined ways to enhance the rural church's administration in Units 6 through 9. In Unit 10, we will discuss ways you can continue your lifelong learning process. And, we will do some dreaming about the future of the rural church. We will dream about ways seminaries, denominations, and others can play a role in shaping a positive future for our rural churches and communities. This unit has two sections: clergy preparation and the future of the rural church. Let's begin with the preparation of clergy for rural church ministry.
