Bonnie Neas is North Dakota State University’s (NDSU) Associate Vice President for Federal Government Relations and Director of the Center for High Performance Computing. She is responsible for identifying and coordinating opportunities for NDSU’s research community through public policy and information technology programs at the federal level.
Bonnie served as the Director of Information Technology Services at NDSU from 1993 to 2000. In that role she was primarily responsible for campus networking, North Dakota’s K-12 network, and the host systems for instructional and research applications for NDSU and the ND University System. In addition, she had shared responsibility with the University of ND and ND’s State Government for the State’s Wide Area Network (WAN) and Internet services.
She serves on numerous EDUCAUSE committees and is the co-chair of the Northern Tier Networking Consortium – a ten-state organization with a mission to bring advanced networking to the region in support of research, education and economic development efforts. She is the recipient of over $7M in grants and awards over the past ten years, primarily for advanced computing and networking applications.
