The Bioinformatics group of the CNRS 7081 Unit is looking for a
post-doctoral fellow in Chemoinformatics. Within a EU project (Chemogenomics of GPCRs) comprising several European
academic groups and biopharmaceutical companies, you should identify ligands for a panel of orphan G-Protein coupled receptors. This position
requires a sound knowledge of all aspects of virtual screening (database preparation, receptor-based and pharmacophore-based virtual screening,
library design). Experience in protein modelling and docking is an absolute prerequisite. A good knowledge of chemoinformatics (database handling and
analysis) is required. Programming skills (C, C++, java, perl, python) are not necessary but will be considered as an added-value. Within the EU
project, you will be part of an international team, as such you must be able to interact orally and by writing in
English language.
The position is opened for 2 years from September 2004 and is located at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Strasbourg, one
of the most beautiful cities in France.
