- Sr. Cheminformatics Scientist, Cambridge, MA
Our client, a global pharmaceutical company, is seeking experienced cheminformatics scientist capable of leading a computational chemistry
group. The successful candidate will work as a team with chemists, biologists, computational biologists, software developers, and screening
technicians to develop automated methods for discovering and optimizing potential lead compounds for families of drug
targets.
The ideal candidate will have experience with statistics, algorithm development, and computer programming (preferably Perl, C++, or Java).
Skills such as modeling and docking, COMFA, SAR/QSAR, pharmacophore analysis, SQL, Bayesian statistics, structural biology, and the use of
clustering algorithms are also desired. Leadership skills are a must, as are
effective communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related
discipline, and at least two years of industry experience.
