AstraZeneca R&D Mölndal is expanding in Research & Development and part of this is an extensive expansion of our Medicinal Chemistry function. The Medicinal Chemistry department consists today of some 120 persons and we are currently undergoing a major expansion. If you are a positive and curious scientist you now have the opportunity to take part in the formation of the future of Medicinal Chemistry in Mölndal. We are now recruiting chemists within different areas.

Computational Chemists with Interest in Interdisciplinary Project Work

Medicinal Chemistry is investing in the building of a leading department in "virtual chemistry" and is now looking for Computational Chemists who would like to form tomorrow's "Virtual Chemistry Laboratory" in Mölndal, Sweden. The group currently consists of 8 persons, but the size of the group will be considerably increased in view of the further investment we are now implementing at Medicinal Chemistry, and Computational Chemistry in particular. The group is active in a wide field and we are now looking for experts who would like to shape the future in the following areas:

Since we would like to see a mixture of new-thinking and experience we would value applicants who have recently qualified or have somewhat more
experience in one of the above areas. You will be working in close co-operation with our pharmaceutical chemists and with interdisciplinary collaborative partners, and therefore it is important that you appreciate a project-orientated method of working and find it easy to co-operate. You hold a doctorate and may have post doctoral experience in the field of Computational Chemistry or the equivalent. Experience from the pharmaceutical industry is naturally considered an additional qualification.
