21. Loftsgard Hall

Home to the biochemistry crop and weed science, molecular biology and plant science programs, Loftsgard's labs contain equipment for all types of genetic and biological studies with plants. The building contains a molecular marker lab, which is one of the most modern in the upper Midwest. Using molecular markers, plant breeders are able to determine genetic traits of some plants without having to plant them in the field.
