SECTION 606.2: CONFIDENTIALITY OF DOCUMENTATION

NDSU is committed to protecting the privacy of students with disabilities in
accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation
Act of 1973 and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).
This commitment includes the following safeguards.
- Disability documentation and other relevant material for students is kept
in a secure place in the Disability Services Office. Access
to these materials will be limited to Disability Services staff. This material
will not be provided to campus staff and faculty unless the information is
necessary for them to fulfill their professional responsibilities.
- Any disability-related information in other campus offices (e.g., Student Financial Services Office or the Office of Registration and Records) is also held in a secure place. Only
appropriate staff in each office has access to the information
