Dr. Stephen Neate

Dr. Stephen Neate received his Ph.D. in 1985 from the University of Adelaide in Australia and joined the department in 2001. His current research emphasis is directed toward control of Fusarium Head Blight and leaf diseases of barley through management as well as identification of sources of resistance.  He has further experience in the taxonomy, ecology and management of root pathogens of cereals.  He teaches the Host-Parasite Genetics course. Dr. Neate is assisted in his project by Patrick Gross.
