Dr. Bob Stack received his Ph.D. in 1976 from Cornell University. Dr. Stack emphasizes mycology in both his research and teaching. His interests include studies in the ecology of fungal pathogens, mycorrhizae, soil-borne diseases, and forest pathology. He taught the advanced mycology course in the department The course in mycology is supported by web based teaching aids. His research emphasis was directed toward identifiying sources of resistance to head blight or scab of wheat.
