Salt Creek, White Sands Missile Range

Salt Creek is a saline river subject to periodic flash flooding. A recently discovered springsnail (Juturnia tularosae) occupies the middle section of Salt Creek and as such White Sands pupfish are typically heavily parasitized by two species of Heterophyid parasites.
