NDSU is gaining a national reputation for its research activities. research funding exceeded $100 million in 2006, putting NDSU in the top 20 percent of research universities in the nation. Our eight colleges support a wide range of research projects that include topics from homeland security, visual neuroscience, and historical preservation to nanotechnology, bioengineering and much more. These research projects offer great opportunities for our students to mix classroom knowledge with hands-on experience.
