Datana perspicua Grote & Robinson 1865

Common name: Spotted datana.

Hodges #: 7908.

Identification: Rfw 20.2 mm, venation trifid, reniform spot dark; thorax edged laterad and posteriad with white, palpi shorter than frontal scale-tuft, fore-tibia with terminal claw.

Similar species: 7902, 7903, 7907, 7915.

Distribution: southern Canada and United States.

Hosts: Larvae feed on Rhus spp.– Sumac.
