Harrold introduced Jeff Low from the Department of Pharmacy Practice, who
will be replacing Laura de Haan as the liaison from the General Education
Committee for the remainder of the Fall Semester.

1.  There were no corrections to the minutes of the October 6, 1999, meeting.

Announcements

1.  Harrold distributed a handout "Using Classroom-Based Assessment for
General Education."

Unfinished Business

1.  Discussion on the revised assessment guidelines was delayed until the
next meeting on November 3. 

2.  The discussion on "Goals for Improving Assessment at NDSU" was delayed
until a new draft of the assessment guidelines are available.  Chenoweth
suggested that the "Goals for Improving Assessment at NDSU" be sent out to
each member electronically to facilitate possible enhancements .
Suggestions or comments may be sent directly to Bob Harrold or shared using
the LISTSERV.
