Aspen trees Aspen grows rapidly and will tolerate a wide range of soil conditions but has high moisture requirements. The flattened petioles permit the leaves to tremble in the slightest breeze; hence its common name.
The seed is collected from native stands in North Central North Dakota. Plant Aspen in a windbreak eight to twelve feet apart. Quaking Aspen is available only as container grown stock and sold in lots of fifty (50). Aspen leaves
