Envirothon - In 2000, the Coalition began a natural resource competition for high school students called the Envirothon. Teams of five students study during the school year on water, wildlife, forestry, soils and a current environmental issue. The first weekend in May, a two-day competition is held. The first day, the students participate in three ecosystem trail tests. The second day, an oral competition is held on solving the environmental issue and students are involved in a variety of educational activities to enhance their skills. To learn more about the Envirothon, check out the National Envirothon web site at www.envirothon.org Envirothon Logo
