Arbor Day Poster Contest

 
 

The theme and hands-on education activities that accompany the poster contest change each year.  This year's theme,

Trees are terrific...and forests are too!

The first place state winner will receive a $100 cash prize, a gold medallion, certificate and have his or her winning poster made into a billboard and placed along a major transportation route. The state winner, his or her immediate family, and teacher will also be invited to an awards luncheon with the governor, or his representative, and get free admission to the Lewis and Clark Center near Washburn in April 2006.

The second and third place state winners will receive a $50 cash prize, a silver or bronze medallion and a certificate. The winners, their families and teachers will also be invited to the awards luncheon and get free admission to the Lewis and Clark Center near Washburn.

To be considered posters must be submitted by March 15, 2007.
