Community Wildfire Planning

Community Wildfire Planning Guidance Document (508KB PDF)

The purpose of the program is to fa ciliate the development or revision of community strategic plans.  The plans should address social, economic and natural resource issues and include wildfire risk reduction plans.  The wildfire reduction plan should include a wildfire risk assessment of the need for fuel modification/reduction, fire prevention and public safety.

Eligible applicants include rural communities, counties, tribal districts and other government sub divisions.

Applications will be accepted until all available funds have been committed.  The planning process and a full written plan must be submitted by May 1, 2007 to receive grant funds.
