ISO Burning Station
The Computer Science Department and the
Accounting and Information Systems Department at NDSU are members
of the Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance,
MSDNAA. As a member of the Academic Alliance these departments
are able to make selected
Microsoft software products available to qualified students. The Academic Alliance software includes
Microsoft's operating systems,
servers, development tools, and
some applications.
Sorry -
The Microsoft Office Professional Suite is not part of this program.
The best place that I know of to purchase the Microsoft Office
Professional Suite is the electronics department in the Varsity Mart
Bookstore. Be sure to go to the courter and ask for the specially
priced student offer. This offer is about $99. Students see below for a better $60 deal. You do not
want the academic version off the shelf that is priced at about $189.
You will need your NDSU ID to receive this special price and this
offer is limted ot students, faculty and staff.
Note - If you only need the Access application it is available in this (the MSDNAA) program.
>>>>> Here is a Great Deal on Microsoft Office 2007 for $60. This $60 deal is for students only, sorry no faculty or staff. <<<<<
The ISO Burning Station is the primary method for delivering the MSDNAA software packages to the students. See the How To Get Your Software
section for detailed instructions on how to order your software
packages and how to use the ISO Burning Station to burn your own copies
of these pacakges.
Below is a table of the most popular software that is currently available on the
MSDNAA ISO Burning Station.
Icons for the software package with green background appear on the
ELMS storefront.
Software packages with the white background can be found by using the
drop-down box located above the storefront icons.

Windows Vista - Business Edition
The 64-bit version uses the same product key as the 32-bit version.
When you order Vista DVD images for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions
will be placed on your Desktop (no CDs are available for the 64-bit
version).
A product key can be used to activate only one version.
Our currrent
understanding is that Microsoft will NOT be releasing any editions of
Vista other than the Business Edition through MSDNAA. |

informing you that you are qualified to participate in the
MSDNAA program and will provide you with:
- your ISO Burning Station user name
- your ISO Burning Station password
- remember these, you will need them later
The second message
will be from MSDNAA E-Academy License Management System
(ELMS) informing them that you have been registered
with ELMS and provide you with:

- After you complete your order at the
MSDNAA Online Software Center you will receive an email Order
Confirmation from billing@e-academy.com. This Order Confirmation does NOT mean that your software is on the ISO Burning Station.
- An MSDNAA@NDSU Administrator will check for new orders after 4:00pm each regular business day (Monday through Friday).
- The administrator will place the software package(s) that you
have
ordered into your account on the ISO Burning Station.
- Software ordered before 4:00pm will be on the ISO Burning Station the next business day.
