[ Rayleigh Explanation | Firming Wind | Editorial Home ]
I have finally decided I need a little space for me to talk about things a little other than the facts. I have spent a lot of time on the AWEA-Wind-Home group on Yahoo!Groups, and I've had some posts that I thought were really good, and I've seen some other posts I thought were great, too. I just wanted some space to link to them so I can find them without hitting the archives. This page may expand more as time allows.
Who am I? My introduction to the list.
Why did I choose the Proven WT2500? Click here.
Eric Eggleston explains some things about turbine design. A great post. Click here.
Eric Eggleston's post on turbine types.
My post on sizing blades to alternators shows most turbines sweep too little area for the alternator.
My post on a 1 day battery and the ensuing dialog was quite fun.
I wrote a brief post on how to use the DOE/NREL wind energy maps.
I really like the Perfect Turbine page on this site. If you didn't find it in the AWH-FAQ, it tells you the performance you can expect from a good turbine, as well as the best performance you could get out of ANY possible turbine.
