Something Personal Hi, and thanks for visiting my web site! I'm embarrased by the archaic and ugly design of my website, but I don't have time to do anything about it. My wife, Betsy Birmingham, is also an English professor in the department; our son goes to a local Montessori school. He has math instincts that neither of us recognize as coming from our genetic information--more power to him! I maintain an online photo album you can visit if you want to get really personal. I still look something like this.
