Not sure why this site isn't posting just yet, but for our purposes, "going on the web" probably isn't crucial.

Thanks, Codi!

Here is the cheat sheet for different color codes as well as other html info!!

A note about making things visually pleasing: make sure you use your angle brackets to start something (for example b for bold). When you are finished typing what you want to be bold, you must use a back slash within your angle brackets to end it. If you don't use your back slash / , then the entire blog will be BOLD!

I haven't noticed that Kevin, but this is the first time I have posted anything for over a month.

I've noticed that when I post on my blogs, the newest one doesn't get displayed. Have others noticed that?

Okay, we are off and running. This blog space will, I hope, have at least two important functions in the class:

1. It will be a place that we can post short writings (the weekly writings). Ideally, we will learn from each other, respond to each other, build on each other's insights.

2. It will be a place where we can share ideas and links. The idea sharing is not much different than #1, but I suspect all of you have many more ideas than I could possibly solicit from my prompts. This blog will be happy to receive thos ideas.

Many people use weblogs as a kind of public bookmarking system. Whenever you find a website or online article that you would like to share, put a link to it, and give us a little commentary. If you have a link icon on your blog screen, you would simply highlight the text (e.g. Kevin's Homepage), click the link button, and then enter the URL into the pop-up box. If you don't have a link icon, you need to put a little code before and after the thing you want to look at. To link to my homepage, you would type: [angle bracket] a href= " http://www.ndsu.nodak.edu/ndsu/kbrooks/" [angle bracket] Kevin's hompage [angle bracket] /a [angle bracket].

By "angle bracket" I mean "<" and this ">". Always open and close.

Don't be afraid to ask for some help. Other code masters please add your suggestions. Good blogging!
