The International Student Association is a group of people who love working together to promote diversity, cultural sharing and having fun at the same time. ISA is a one of the biggest and most active student organization at NDSU.
We do a lot of fun/cultural sharing activities. We have picnic and BBQ during the fall semester. Since we are located near Minnesota (The Land of 10000 lakes), we do few trips to the nearby lakes during the fall semester too. We participate actively during the homecoming week at NDSU. During the spring semester there is a weeklong event called 'The International Week'. It is normally during the last week of March. There is a whole bunch of events like Parade of the Nation, International Expo, International Meal and International Night during this Week. ISA organizes International Night. It is one of the finest and most awaited programs at NDSU every year. It is organized completely by the international students. We also have ski trip during the spring semester. Besides this we have a lot of opportunity of exchanging our culture with the local students and International ones.
The best thing about ISA is you get the opportunity to interact with people from different cultures. I love meeting new people, making friends, like to help them and being around them as well. Tharaka C
