Transmission electron microscopy

• JEOL JEM-100S transmission electron microscope
• JEOL JEM-100CX II transmission electron microscope
• 2 ultramicrotomes
• Cryoultramicrotome (RMC Powertome XL with CR-X cryosectioning system)

Scanning electron microscopy and Microanalysis

• JEOL JSM-6490LV variable pressure scanning electron microscope
• Noran System SIX X-ray microanalysis system with Nanotrace LN-cooled Si(Li) detector for the JSM-6490LV SEM
• JEOL JSM-6300 scanning electron microscope
• Thermo Vantage energy-dispersive X-ray analysis unit with digital and spectral imaging for the JSM-6300 SEM
• EMScope Cryo Unit and cold stage for the scanning electron microscope

• 2 sputter coaters, 2 critical-point driers

Light microscopes

• CARV confocal scanning unit attached to Nikon Eclipse E600W fluorescence light microscope
• Olympus and Leitz research-grade compound and stereo light microscopes
• 3 rotary microtomes

-Digital imaging, storage, and retrieval capabilities

-Complete photographic darkroom facilities, including digital darkroom equipment

-Codonics NP-2660 photographic network printer

-Epson Stylus Photo 2200 color inkjet photographic printer

All of our electron microscopes are on isolation pads and are in climate-controlled rooms for your comfort and best microscope performance.
