The JEOL JSM-6300 Scanning Electron Microscope

The SEM comprises a column mounted on the main console, a control and display system, a power-supply unit, and a vacuum pump.  The main console includes a vacuum system; the control and display system consists of the control panels, keyboard, and display monitors.  The power-supply unit is located behind the control and display system.  A DOS-based system controls all microscope operations.  The basic SEM is connected to an EDX unit that allows characteristic X-ray spectra of samples to be displayed.
