The Electron Microscopy Center of North Dakota State University is a central multidisciplinary multi-user microscopy imaging facility, in existence in its present form since 1975, and associated with the Department of Plant Pathology. We assist research scientists and students who need ultrastructural data, and support research programs and teaching efforts from disciplines including the following:
As a service facility, the EM Center provides comprehensive microscopy services to researchers and students from initial concept to publishable photographs. Experienced scientists enjoy open use of the electron microscopes and ancillary equipment without the time demands and frustrations of routine upkeep and maintenance. Those less familiar with specific techniques of electron microscopy benefit from the skilled technical assistance available.
