1. Minutes - The minutes for the January 26
meeting of CITPG were approved.
2. ITS Update
a. Jim
Ross sent an email to the CITPG listserv regarding the Learning Management
System Task Force. Bids for an LMS are
being solicited, the task force asks that “given that
existing accounts need to be serviced, contact with the present campus vendor
is appropriate. In fairness to selection process and to the other
vendors, the Task Force would prefer that contact with other vendors be
curtailed during the selection process.”
b. Numerous
People Soft training opportunities are being made available through ITS. Encourage individuals to attend these
sessions. We should also spread that
message that questions and rumors about the new system should be addressed to
the new steering committee.
c. Jim
Ross sent a message to the CITPG listserv announcing a new web development
service being offered by ITS.
3. Recommendations from the Classroom Subcommittee Regarding Classroom Technology Installations
a. The recommendations from the classroom subcommittee regarding new classroom technology installations were presented. A copy can be found at: http://www.ndsu.nodak.edu/ndsu/cpg/reports/subreports/classroom204.htm. The recommendations were accepted unanimously.
4. Tom Moberg presented his impressions about IT at NDSU. This was a similar presentation to the one he gave at President’s Council in January.
