a.       Jim Ross will circulate the meeting time for the NAI demonstration of ePolicy Orchestrator.

3.      Cluster Subcommittee Recommendations

 Recommendation #1

The CITPG Cluster Subcommittee recommends that all computer clusters be equipped with door locks to allow the rooms to be locked from the inside.  The door locks will allow students to leave the cluster but not enter.  Push-button door locks will allow instructors to restrict reserved cluster use to the appropriate people.

Current signage should be updated to reflect the fact that a reserved cluster may be locked at the instructor’s discretion.

Although the committee does not currently recommend designating a specific cluster for classroom use only, this may be required at a future time.  The committee recommends that this issue be evaluated again.

Action:  CITPG asked the cluster subcommittee to recommend 2 rooms to use as test cases for this procedure.  The subcommittee will forward their recommendation at a future meeting.

 Recommendation #2

The CITPG Cluster Subcommittee recommends that ITS develop and implement a formal system to track violators of cluster policy.

Action:  ITS will take this recommendation under advisement and attempt to determine how this tracking might be implemented.

 Recommendation #3

The CITPG Cluster Subcommittee recommends that ITS policy be updated regarding residence hall clusters.  Policy should mandate that all residence hall clusters that have been established by ITS will also be supported by ITS.

Action:  ITS will work with the Residence Halls to try to identify a solution that will allow ITS access to these facilities so that timely servicing of the clusters is possible..

            4. Desktop Support Levels

Tom Moberg presented a draft of a document describing new ITS desktop service levels.  CITPG members discussed the document and provided feedback to ITS.  This feedback will be considered as ITS continues to develop this plan.

Meeting adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
