1. Minutes
- The minutes for the October 6
meeting of CITPG were approved.
2. ITS
Update
a. John Grosen discussed the strategies ITS has used to deal with the email difficulties that the campus has been experiencing in recent weeks. These include adding a new server and conducting an education campaign.
3. Theresa
Semmens
a. Theresa Semmens was invited to the meeting to give an overview of the presentation she had given to University Senate regarding her vision for campus IT security. She plans on conducting a thorough evaluation of existing policy. Her plans also include creating student and faculty groups that will be involved in promoting safe use of the campus IT resources. She has submitted a proposal for TFAC money for her student initiative. CITPG members invited her to utilize our committee for help in drafting policy.
4. LAN
Student Organization Discussion
a. We continued the discussion that started at the October 6 meeting. D. Wittrock reported that he had received no response to his requests for information regarding rules on student organization participation. We decided that a meeting of all the primary participants in this issue was warranted.
