  1. Conversion of the Library Mac Cluster to PCs
    1. The Cluster Technology Subcommittee presented a recommendation to convert the Mac cluster in Library Room 14 to PCs and establish a separate area in the library for the location of Mac computers.  The recommendation was accepted.  A recommendation from CITPG to ITS will be drafted and acted upon at the April 14 meeting of CITPG.

Goal: To convert the cluster in library room 14 entirely to PC computers and yet provide access to some Mac computers in the library.

1) We recommend that CITPG request that ITS provide computers, software and support for approximately six Mac computers in the library in a location separate from rooms 14 A, B, and C.

2) We recommend that CITPG request that the library allocate appropriate space to accommodate these Mac computers.

3) Contingent upon the acceptance of items 1 and 2, we further recommend that CITPG request ITS to convert the library basement cluster (14 A, B, C) entirely to PC computers.

Meeting adjourned at 3:24 p.m.
