CITPG Meeting Minutes

September 30, 2002, 2 p.m. Minard Hall, Room 120

Present: Altenburg, Fawley, Grosen, Juell, J. Kapaun, Klenow, Kloberdanz, Pikalek, Ross, Saini-Eidukat, Schlecht, and Wittrock

  1. Minutes - The minutes for the September 30 meeting of CITPG were approved.

 

  1. ITS Update
    1. The newest version of Formmail appears to fix the vulnerabilities that were present in the old version.  This new version will be adopted for use if further assessment indicates it is appropriate.
    2. Blackboard 5.5 has been upgraded to include additional storage.  ITS will continue to work on additional solutions for storage demand.
    3. Increases in the cost of software will make it difficult to support all current applications in the computer clusters for the next academic year.

 

  1. Review of the Networking and Classroom & Cluster Subcommittee Reports
    1. We continued our review of the Cluster & Classroom Subcommittee Report from 2002.  A summary report of the reviews will be prepared following the completion of the review process.
