April 2001 Minutes

Greetings everyone!!
These'll be the last minutes I send out as your Secretary!! :(

We had a good turnout of different schools and different ages of people
at our meeting this past Tuesday.  I want to thank you all in advance for
your input and suggestions; this is YOUR club and we, the officers, want
to do things that YOU want and are interested in!!  Keep the communication
rolling!!

Here's a SUMMARY of the important points we discussed at the meeting:

   1. Location of meetings
       -we talked about where we're currently having meetings (at a different
        school each month) is working for everyone.  It seems to be working
        pretty well, except for next year one of our goals is to have the
        meetings at NDSU, MSUM, and CC always in the same campus building,
        in the same room.
       -we also did discuss possibly having one or two meetings at the
        location of the speaker's workplace.  We thought this would give us
        a different atmosphere to be in, AND get to see the HR depts of
       businesses in this area.

   2. Volunteering
       -we did a great job volunteering this year, but we'd still like to
        get more members participating.  Many of the same people did much
        of the volunteering for the year.  Our goal is to see more faces!!
        The Parent Chapter has expressed interest in needing us for a
        variety of activities, so that's an idea.

   3. Tours
       -one of our goals this year to go on tours of different businesses
        in the area and actually SEE HR departments in action. Unfortunately
        we didn't really get to this (a little at Great Plains) but we'd
        still like to keep this as a goal for NEXT year.

   4. Speakers
       -we want your,(YOU,our members!!) feedback on this!!  Most people
        have enjoyed the speakers and what they've had to tell us.
        Suggestions for next year include more hands-on activities when
        the speakers come, small groups, and for the speakers, letting them
        know ahead of time what they're supposed to speak about, more
        specifically.  As a club we could conjure up questions and ideas
        for the speaker during the meeting before they are scheduled.
        Any more ideas, PLEASE let us know!!

   5. ELECTIONS
       -CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEW OFFICERS:

CONGRATUALTIONS, once again, to everyone elected!!  And also I send my
Congratulations to ALL the memebers on a job well done this year!! :)

to email me or any of the officers!!  We'd like to hear more from all of you!

I think that's it, although I WILL be sending out another email regarding
whether or not you want to still be on our list.  Let me know if you
