Due Date: 10 of these across the semester–check syllabus (these are due only on the day we have class–if you cannot be at class, e-mail to me before 5 p.m. for credit)

Assignment: The reading responses are to help you keep track of your reading for the week–so you remember what you’d wanted to discuss–they should include:

If you had difficulty with an article, feel free to mention that, but use the opportunity to work through possible meanings; just saying you didn’t get it is not an option. If you find you are not getting it, you will probably want to form a study group so that you can go over the materials with others. Note as well, that I am not asking whether you agree with the material–I am concerned with your comprehension of the material and your ability to draw connections among the articles we will read across the semester. Agreeing (or disagreeing) with the material will not earn you full points unless you are able to demonstrate your understanding of the article’s content.
