Artificial Key to the Adult Tiger Beetles of North Dakota
The key to species is adapted from Willis (1968) with a few modifications and additions. Each couplet contains two alternatives, and each alternative is accompanied by an illustration of the character in question. Some species show a high degree of variability for certain characters (particularly elytral maculation). The key has been written to accommodate this, and such species will key out in more than one place.
