The Treaty of Trianon

Hungarians in Post-Trianon Europe

The Holy Crown was sent to St. Stephen by Pope Sylvester II in the year 1000. The crowning of St. Stephen as the first Christian king of Hungary, marks the beginning of Hungarian statehood. Pre-Trianon Hungary was often called the Crown Lands of St. Stephen.
