For nine decades the College of Pharmacy at North Dakota State University has provided an education for men and women in pharmacy and the pharmaceutical sciences. During this time period the requirements for graduation have increased from the two-year course adopted in 1902 to the five-year curriculum which became mandatory in the United States in 1960. In the fall of 1990 a six-year entry level Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program was implemented. In addition, the College of Pharmacy offers a two year post- bacalaureate Pharm.D. program. The two-year associate degree program in nursing was initiated in 1969. The last associate degree class graduated in 1988 when the college initiated a cooperative four year baccalaureate degree program in nursing with Concordia College.
