Mission Statement and Program Objectives

 

Mission Statement

To encourage scholarship and research through publications, presentations, and grant procurement which will increase knowledge and expertise, while positively influencing student learning.

 

Program Objectives
 
The HNES graduate proram has the following six objectives:
1.
To expand student content knowledge in athletic training, exercise science, nutrition science, public health, sport pedagogy, and/or sport and recreation management.
   
2. To increase student ability to read, understand, and/or apply research.
   
3. To increase student ability to understand and apply statistical analysis.
   
4. To increase student ability to conduct various types of research.
   
5. To strengthen student ability to write professionally.
   
6. To increase student ability to defend beliefs with oral communication skills.
