Our plane took us from Minneapolis to Amsterdam

From your webmaster team - Brett, Thomas and Hope

We left Minneapolis at 3:10 Wednesday afternoon.  Our plane was large with many people and we were packed into the coach section tightly.   It was a 7 1/2 hour flight on which they served a supper meal, a breakfast meal, and the famous peanuts.  They showed the movie "The Talented Mr. Ripley" and an episode of Murphy Brown.  It was around 6:10 am local time when we arrived in Amsterdam.  We got off the plane and had to walk clear across the airport, through customs and a metal detector and barely made our next flight.  It was only a 70 minute flight from Amsterdam to Paris.  There we claimed our luggage and met Cheryl and Amber.  We took a shuttle bus to a different terminal where our train station was located.  Our train didn't leave for another three hours so many people slept on the cold cement floor and some went out in search of food.  We received our first introduction to culture shock in the airport.  Once on the train most slept from Paris to Angers.  The Train went 160 miles per hour and was a very smooth ride which made for ideal sleeping conditions.  It was about a three hour commute from Paris to Angers.  When we got to the train depot we were introduced to our host family and we all parted ways.
