Dr. Allan Ashworth, Professor & Chair.

Research interests are in paleontology, especially in the response of insects to climate change. Most recently have become interested in how this information might be used to predict the response of insects to global warming. Projects include working in collaboration with molecular geneticists on testing a biogeographic hypothesis based on paleontological evidence, studying the full-glacial beetle fauna of the mid-latitudes of South America, and studying the macrofossils of the Sirius Group from the Transantarctic Mountains.
