Tri-College University Nursing Student Association (TCUNSA)

 The Tri-College University Nursing Student Association is a local chapter of the Nursing Students' Association of North Dakota and the National Student Nurses' Association.

The purposes of the TCUNSA are

Membership to TCUNSA is open to all students enrolled in the nursing programs at Concordia College and North Dakota State University. Students are not required to hold national membership, but are encouraged to do so once admitted to the nursing major.

The TCUNSA meets once a month for business meetings. Throughout the year the organization is involved in college, university, and community activities. Students are encouraged to participate at the local, state, and national level of the organization. The annual state convention is rotated among school chapters in North Dakota. Members are encouraged to also attend the activities of the local chapter of the American Nurses Association.

 
Sigma Theta Tau International

Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing, is dedicated to improving the health of people worldwide through increasing the scientific base of nursing practice. Its members are nursing scholars committed to the pursuit of excellence in clinical practice, education, research, and leadership.

Sigma Theta Tau International's philosophy of membership eligibility is based upon the purposes of the society. Awarding membership recognizes, encourages, and actively supports nursing excellence and scholarship by advancing professional development, scholarly pursuit, leadership, creativity and commitment to nursing. Undergraduate nursing students who have completed one-half of their nursing curriculum, have achieved at least a 3.0 GPA, rank in the upper 35 percent of their graduating class, and meet the expectation of academic integrity, may qualify for membership.
