Teaching faculty and staff are invited to a pedagogical luncheon from 12 to 1 p.m. Monday, August 25, in the Peace-Garden Room of the Memorial Union for enhancing student learning and comradeship among teachers. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet people from different colleges, get ideas, and collaborate on interdisciplinary projects. A buffet lunch will begin at 11:45 a.m. If you are planning to attend the session, please register before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, by replying to this e-mail.
 
Sudhir Mehta, associate VPAA and professor of Mechanical Engineering, will lead this interactive session by inviting your thoughts on the luncheon topic. He, then plans to share some of the web-based and traditional tools that have potential to enhance student learning. He will also share some of the most recent data depicting impact of effective teaching on student learning.
