There are no good teachers. Jim Coykendall There are no good teachers. The title really throws the gauntlet down, doesn't it? Of course this statement is not true, but it is my experience that students are much more responsible for success than teachers. What happens outside of the classroom is usually much more important than what happens inside. But how do we, as teachers, ensure that what happens outside the classroom optimizes the learning experience? I cannot pretend to be able to answer this question in its entirety, but I will explore some things that have worked in my personal experience.
