The second test will be given in class on Wednesday, November 6. Nothing else will be done in class that day.
The test will cover material up through the lecture on Wednesday, October 30. This includes everything about the planets (including the systematics of temperatures and atmospheres, gravity effects in the outer solar system, and the theory of the origin of the solar system) and techniques for making measurements of stars.
The format of the test will be the same as for the first test: ten multiple choice questions and six written questions, the latter being similar in format to the homework.
As with the first test, time should not be a factor. If you find that you need extra time, I will give you some reasonable amount of it.
