SUmmary of Presentation of January 25, 1999

We began to discuss Chapter 17 in the textbook.  This presentation covered 
pages 487 - 493.
The presentation began with a discussion of the differences 
between methods for testing as outlined in Chapter 16 and previous
presentations and Testing Strategies which we will discuss during
the next five lectures.
Then we looked at the differences between validation and verification.
We discussed organizing developers for software testing.  
An overall strategy for software testing was explained.
Finally, notions of when software testing is completed were presented.
