Summary of Presentation of February 26, 1999 We completed our presentation of Tom DeMArco's bang metric. This metric is an alternative to the function point metric and its variations ( including feature points). We used the program provided as the basis for the first assignment as our starting point and attempted to determine bang for the specification of that program. Students completed an in-class exercise also. The application involved an arbitrary shuffle program with a determination of the longest sequence in the shuffled deck as a measure of how well shuffled the deck was. This application was data strong. Hence we completed a simple calculation of bang once we had developed the entity-relationship diagram.
