Not a required book, but if you want to have a clear small book, just about OpenGL, I recommend:
Angel, Edward, OpenGL A Primer, Pearson Education, Inc, 2004.



If you are a Java programmer, the following looks like a good book:
Chen, Jim X. and Edward J. Wegman, Foundations of 3D Graphics Programming, using JOGL and Jave3D, Springer, 2006.
