Mathematics Placement Test Information

The Mathematics Department uses two different tests for determining math placement. The Algebra Math Readiness Test measures the basic preparation for college algebra and the Calculus Readiness Test measures the algebra and trigonometry preparation for calculus. The following problems will give you an idea of the type and difficulty of problems found on the appropriate Readiness Test that you will take during Orientation. This is not a comprehensive list or is it meant to replace your general understanding of basic mathematics concepts. You should solve the following and review your mathematics skills. Calculators will not be used on the test.
